Our mission: Providing affordable youth, adult and family enrichment through athletic, cultural and social activities and programs for the broadest segments within our communities.

Eighty-five percent of Riley Rink's funding is raised through program fees, facility rentals and events.  Fifteen percent of funds needed annually to support operations and programming come directly from private donations.  Please consider giving to our annual fund.

Our annual goal is $100,000.00

Riley Rink at Hunter Park honors the wishes of donors who are interested in supporting a specific program or fund in any amount desired.

  • The Jonathan Levin Scholarship Fund (established in 1998) provides scholarships to area youth enrolled in a Riley Rink, Northshire Figure Skating, or Northshire Hockey Association program.  Recipients must be 18 years of age or under.  To date more than $168,000 has been awarded to children, based on financial need.  Our goal is for no child to be turned away based on inablility to pay.
  • The Paul Schwindt Memorial Fund (established in 2007) underwrites sports enrichment programs that benefit an entire club, team or large group.
  • The Hunter Park Memorial Garden (established 2010) funds the care of and maintenance of the memorial garden established to honor individuals who served on Riley Rink at Hunter Park's board of directors and who have passed away.  A tree has been planted in memory of their support and contributions to us all.  Funds may also be used to refresh perennial garden and bush plantings on the property to maintain a park like setting for all the community to enjoy.
  • Operations Endowment to ensure that the necessary funds are available to maintain the facility and unique mechanical systems and assets necessary to continue operation of Riley Rink.
  • Connections Program is a special program that we are most proud of which provides opportunities for adaptive physical fitness and leisure activities for the special needs population in the greater Northshire communities.  Each Monday from 1-3 Riley Rink is "home" for individuals with special needs and their families.  Activities include sports, dance, music, arts and crafts, cooking and yoga.
