RILEY RINKS 10th ICE SEASON
Many of the programs you've enjoyed in the past will be returning this season, while new classes and events will be rolled out. If you are looking for fun and healthy activities for you and your family, Riley Rink offers a full slate of public skating, instructional skating, pick-up hockey, and leauge hockey for all ages and abilities.
Public Skating (7 days a week)
Monday - Friday 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM
During holiday weeks, additional open skate sessions are added.
Friday evening: 7:15 PM to 9:15 PM
Saturdays: 2:15 PM to 4:00 PM; 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Sundays: 2:15 PM to 4:00 PM

Parent and Me
Tuesday and/or Wednesday: 10:00 - 11:00 AM
6-Weeks class $58; Walk-on $15
Instructional skating program for preschool children ages 3-6 and their parents. This program is an interactive skating class with parent, child and coach. The goal is to help the child become an independent skater and learn to enjoy this lifelong sport.
Snow Day
Any School Snow Day (M-F): 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Daily Program fee: $35/student, $30/additional sibiling (rental skates included)
This program is available to elementary school ages 5-11 years when school is cancelled because of a "snow day". We will provide skating and activities for children that will enhance their skating skills and appreciation for the sport of figure skating and/or hockey.
Each day will consist of at least 3 hours of skating time (lessons, structured games & free skating), off ice activities (mini seminars, quiet study time, video/game time, snack and lunch time. Program will be fully supervised by rink staff, professional skating instructors and BBA high school community service volunteers who are skilled skaters. Snack and lunch are not included, but can be purchased at the rink concession stand.
School Skate Programs This program offers figure skating and hockey instruction for local school and home schooled students held on school's scheduled JISP day.
One 8-week Session: January 6th - March 7th; excluding the week of February 18th (vacation week).
Tuesdays-Fridays 1:00 PM - 2:45 PM
Pre-registration required. Scholarships available. All skill levels of skating are welcome.

Instructional
Hockey for All Levels
Adults, teens and children who want to learn the game or improve their
skills have the opportunity to take the ice and work with expert coaches
who teach hockey skating, stick handling, shooting and defensive techniques.
All programs include pick-up scrimmages where players can apply their
skills in game situations.
BEGINNERS: Parents have the option of enrolling
and joining their child on the ice or enrolling themselves
in an "adult" version of beginner hockey held at
the other end of the ice. Full gear optional; skates, gloves,
helmet and stick are required. Two 8-week sessions: (Oct-Dec) & (Jan-Mar).
Sundays Youth Beginner Hockey 4:15 to 5:15 PM $85/child; $125 parent & child; $50 ea. add'l family member; Walk-on $15 per class.
Adult Beginner Hockey 4:15 to 5:15 PM $105/adult; Walk-on $15 per class
C-League Hockey
Co-ed pick-up hockey designed for the advanced beginner/intermediate player. Full gear is required. Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 to 9:15 PM 20-Week program fee: $220 Tuesday or Thursday session Walk-on $16/week

Weekly pick-up games are open for players who want the challenge of playing in a game, but can't make the full commitment to league hockey. Open to all ability levels, full gear is required:

Stick & Puck
All sessions $5
Players can skate and practice shooting, passing and stick handling; helmet, stick and gloves are required; pucks are available through the Pro Shop. Contact the Rink for the current "Stick & Puck" schedule.
Skate Rentals and Pro Shop
The Pro Shop at Riley Rink rents both hockey and figure skates for public skate sessions, or visit the shop to have your own skates professionally sharpened. The Pro Shop offers a full array skating accessories, equipment and supplies. The shop is open for all public skating sessions.

CAMP FREEZE
FEBRUARY VACATION CAMP AT RILEY RINK
The coolest kids camp in southern Vermont!
Riley Rink at Hunter Park is host to the very popular children's vacation skating camp. Camp Freeze; directed by Andrea Lee, figure skating coach and hockey skills instructor, has been a sell-out since it opened. The next camp will be held during February vacation, 2/18-2/22/08. Camp Freeze is also offered during the Rink's popular summer ice season.
Children, ages 5-11 will participate in on-ice activities including group skating lessons, free skating, ice painting, ice bowling and much more. Participants receive camp t-shirt and a picture on our zamboni. Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 3 PM. Early drop off/late pick up available for an additional fee. Summer Hockey Camps at Riley Rink
The Riley Rink will be home to top-flight instructional hockey camps for players of all ages and abilites. Each week a different camp will be featured, giving players a variety of programs from which to choose. High-level instructors include former NHL players and top college coaches. RILEY RINK DATES SET FOR 2008 INDOOR SPORTS SEASON
We will be offering Instructional Soccer, Futsal and League Soccer and League Field Hockey again next spring. The indoor sports season is set to run for six weeks from March 15 to May 3, 2008.
League Soccer
for recreational and competivite teams will be offered to youth girls and boys, and adults. Matches will be 50 minutes long and will begin promptly on the hour. Referees will be provided. Limited practice turf will be offered at a discount to registered teams.
Riley Rink Soccer Academy for youth kindergarteners through third grade will be offered on Saturday mornings. This popular program is directed by Coach John Werner, Castleton State College Men's soccer program. Kids will receive an academy t-shirt to wear during the program. Enrollment is limited and the program sold out last year so register early.
April Vacation Soccer Camps/Tournament Information to be Announced
League Field Hockey for high school girls will run on Sundays during the indoor sports season. Interested teams should contact the Rink for Team registration materials.
LACROSSE ACADEMY
Riley Rink at Hunter Park will offer a Six-week Saturday Lacrosse Academy. This program will be directed and instructed by Sam Johnson, former head coach for BBA boy's lacrosse, who's assisted BBA in bringing home two Marble Valley League Championships and two Vermont State Championships. Coach Johnson is also credited with coaching the Bull Dogs' first lacrosse All-American player.
Get a jump on the season and improve your lacrosse skills and abilites. The program curriculum includes offensive and defensive skill development; ground balls, shooting, dodges, fast breaks, stick skills, footwork and much more. Skill competitions will also be offered for prizes.

Turf Birthday Parties!
Reserve the field now for that special day! One hour of turf time for field games of your choice (soccer balls provided), however you can bring other games/sports equipment that is appropriate for indoor play. Package includes exclusive use of our birthday party room. No limit on the number of children.
