Established in 1997, the JLS Fund celebrates the all too brief life of a caring and dedicated teacher, committed to the welfare of children and to equal opportunities for both learning and recreation.

The fund provides scholarship to eligible children for recreation fees and equipment. Scholarships are awarded based upon financial need. Children ages 4 to 18 are eligible to receive partial scholarship. Careful consideration will be given to all applicantions.

We are proud to say "no child has been turned away because of an inability to pay". In 2010-2011 $26,000 was granted to children with financial need. To date, more than $250,000 in scholarship has been granted since this fund was estabilited in 1997.

All scholarship applications must be submitted no later than October 10, 2011 to be considered for this year's programs. RRHP will not consider any application recieved after this date. (School Skate scholarship applications will be accepted until December 19, 2011)
